2€ Vatican 2022 - 125e anniversary of the birth of the pape Paul VI This year marque the 125e anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Battista Montini, né à Concesio en 1897 and élu pape en 1963 under the nom of Paul VI. The Monnaie of the État of the Vatican celebrates cet anniversary with the coin of 2 euros bimétallique en version double brillant hors-circulation and épreuve numismatique. On the coin, on voit the pape souriant and ouvrant grand the bras with the geste qu'il utilisait souvent for saluer the foules. Il porte the soutane nouée à the taille with a fascia portant the armoiries of its pontificat brodées on the bas, its cape and its manteau.

Notre artist Daniela Longo a réalisé the gravure au revers of the coin depicting the tapisserie exposée on the façade of the basilique Saint-Pierre lors of the béatification of Paul VI. The célébration a eu lieu the 19 octobre 2014 under the presidency of the pape François and of the pape émérite Benoît XVI
