San Marino Euro Coins: A Blend of History, Culture and Art

First series since 2002: Each coin in this series, designed by the talented Frantisek Chochola, highlights a distinct element of the Republic. Each is adorned with the twelve stars of the European Union and proudly bears the inscription "SAN MARINO".
Second series (2017-): Since 2017, a new series of coins has appeared, each denomination representing a unique aspect of San Marino.
- 1 cent: The coat of arms of San Marino.
- 2 cent: Porta San Francesco.
- 5 cent: The Capuchin church.
- 10 cent: Convent of St. Francis.
- 20 cent: San Marino's three towers (Guaita, Cesta and Montale).
- 50 cent: San Marino portrayed by the painter Emilio Retrosi.
- 1 euro: Cesta is one of the three peaks of Mount Titano, overlooking the city of SanMarino.
- 2 euro: San Marino bearing the Three Towers of San Marino by Giovan Battista Urbinelli.
