2 euros Luxembourg 2025 - 75 years Schuman Declaration
Design description:
The inside of the coin features a symbolic composition celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, the founding act of European integration. At the heart of the coin, a hand holds out an olive branch, a universal symbol of peace, reconciliation and unity. This gesture embodies the spirit of peace and integration between the peoples of Europe, as intended by the declaration made on May 9, 1950.
In the background, a network of dynamic lines suggests the growing links between the nations of Europe, illustrating both their interdependence and the idea of continental solidarity. This visual framework evokes a united Europe, woven together by cooperation and shared values.
The upper part of the coin bears the legend "SCHUMAN DECLARATION 09.05.1950 ", recalling the historic date of this founding declaration. On the right-hand side are the name of the issuing country, "Luxembourg", and the year of issue, "2025" . As a tribute to the role of the Monnaie de Paris in the minting of this coin, the cornucopia symbol is discreetly integrated into the design, highlighting numismatic expertise and tradition.
