The "Finland-Sweden Athletics Internationals" are divided into two separate competitions: one for men, the other for women. The program is rich and varied, including sprint and long-distance races (100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 5000 m), relays such as the 4 × 100 m, and technical disciplines such as the 400 m hurdles, high jump, long jump and pole vault.
The annual event attracts tens of thousands of spectators for two days of intense sporting action. Beyond the results, the event illustrates a long tradition of cooperation and mutual respect between Finland and Sweden.
