The inner part of the coin features thePula Arena, a major landmark of the city of the same name on the southern Istrian peninsula. The Roman amphitheatre, one of the best preserved in Europe, is depicted through its exterior façade, characterized by harmonious arches and luminous limestone. Around the monument, the engraver added a natural backdrop of Mediterranean vegetation and gently undulating reliefs, recalling the typical landscape of the region.
The inscription "GRAD PULA - ARENA" appears at the top , underlining the town's historical attachment to this ancient site. At the bottom of the composition, the name of the issuing country and theyear of issue 2025 are elegantly integrated into the visual.
The outer ring features the traditional motif of 2 euro coins, with the twelve stars of the European flag, symbolizing the unity and shared identity of the Union's member states.
