2 Euro Belle Epreuve Andorra 2025 - Games of the Small States
The inner part of the piece features a visual dedicated to the Games of the Small States of Europe, a sporting competition bringing together nine sovereign nations with small populations. The 20ᵉ edition, originally scheduled for 2021, was eventually hosted by Andorra in 2025, the postponement being due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This event, traditionally held every two years, brings together eleven sporting disciplines ranging from athletics to swimming, judo or table tennis.
The May 2025 edition was particularly noteworthy: Cyprus topped the overall standings with a total of 108 medals, confirming its status as one of the Games' leading nations. The coin features the Catalan inscription "Jocs dels Petits Estats d'Europa" around the circumference, a reminder of the cultural and identity-related importance of this event for the host country. The lower part of the coin features the name of the issuing country, "Andorra", and the year of issue, "2025".
The outer ring features the twelve stars of the European Union, symbols of unity and harmony.
