Description:
The center of the coin shows that the Euro has become an element of particular importance in Europe as well as around the world. The design elements around the Euro symbol on the coin are described by different aspects: citizens (represented by a family of four), commerce (the boat), industry (the factory) and energy (the wind turbines).
Coin common to all 17 countries to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the introduction of euro bills and coins. Each coin bears the name of the issuing country and the words 2002-2012.
- This common design for each country was created by Mr Helmut Andexlinger, professional graphic designer at the Austrian Mint.
- 17 countries available: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany (5 workshops), Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain, for a total of 21 €2 coins.
