A Coin on the theme 50 years of women's right to vote in Andorra

Description:

For the second commemorative 2 euro coin, the Principality will be commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of women's right to vote in Andorra.

Indeed, it wasn't until 1970 that the Conseil de la Terre granted this right, following a pressure movement in the late 60s.

It was not until 1973, however, that women were also able to stand for elective office.

The coin depicts a female face, with locks of hair made up of female first names. The coin's design is quite original and well-balanced.
