Description:
The old town of Cáceres is famous for its unique architecture, which reflects the influence of many different eras and styles. The city boasts outstanding examples of Romanesque, Gothic, Moorish and Renaissance architecture, as well as Baroque and Neoclassical styles. This combination of different architectural styles creates a fascinating urban landscape that has been recognized by UNESCO as being of great cultural and historical importance.
The coin features a panoramic view of the city, with the main square in the center, surrounded by historic buildings. The name of the issuing country "ESPAÑA" and the year of issue "2023" appear at the top of the coin, while the name of the city "CÁCERES" is inscribed at the bottom.
The design also features a mint mark, indicating where the coin was minted. This mark usually consists of a letter or symbol that identifies the mint responsible for producing the coin.
Finally, the outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag, indicating that the coin is part of a series of coins issued by the European Union. This series, known as the "Eurostar" series, includes coins issued by each EU member country to commemorate UNESCO World Heritage sites located on their territory.
