Print run : 1,600,000

Description:

Porvoo Cathedral in Finland was built mainly in the 15th century, with the oldest parts dating back to the 13th century. It is used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, and is one of the country's most popular wedding churches.
The cathedral was the site of Finland's first Diet (the Diet of Porvoo), held from March 25 to July 19, 1809, following the total occupation of the country by Russian troops at the end of the Finnish War. Finland was established as an autonomous Grand Duchy by the Emperor of Russia, who later also bore the title of Grand Duke of Finland.
