Coincard overview:
This official Lithuania coincard presents the 2022 issue dedicated to BASKET-BALL.
The coin is preserved in its original collector card.
The Lithuania 2022 €2 coincard celebrates 100 years of basketball in Lithuania. The national side uses the outline of Lithuania as a basketball court and carries the inscriptions LIETUVA and 1922–2022, together with the Lithuanian Mint logo.
Historical and cultural context:
The European flag was adopted by the Council of Europe in 1955 and later taken up by the European Communities in 1985. Its twelve stars symbolise unity and solidarity rather than a number of states, which explains why the design has remained unchanged through successive enlargements.
Mintage: 7500 coincards.
