The coin's national side depicts the 1823 express mail service between Vienna and Bratislava through a racing horse-drawn coach and a centralized post horn. The year "1823" is located below the coach, flanked by the cities "VIEDEŇ" and "BRATISLAVA". "2023", the year of issue, is displayed at the bottom, preceded by a line. "SLOVENSKO", the issuing country, sits at the top. To the right is the symbol of the Kremnica Mint, "MK", and below it, the initials "MP" for the designer, Mária Poldaufová. The 12 stars of the EU surround the coin.
