Description :
After evoking four great Impressionist painters, La Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to modern painters. Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), the Spanish painter, draughtsman and sculptor who founded cubism with Georges Braque and was a fellow artist of surrealism, is undoubtedly the greatest painter of the 20th century, for his persistence in constantly questioning the various styles used in his work.
Front: representation of a work by Pablo Picasso. Inscriptions: the initials "RF", Picasso's signature, the name of the work and its date.
Reverse: on the right-hand side, a portrait of Pablo Picasso with his signature and the dates 1881-1973. Inscription: Republican motto "Liberté Egalité Fraternité" and the face value 5000 euro, 500 euro or 100 euro. On the left-hand segment, two brushes draw paint spots and the year "2010" surrounded by two "différents".
