Description
La Monnaie de Paris continues its collection dedicated to comic-book heroes, launching the "Blake & Mortimer" coin in 2010.
The series features two heroes, Sir Francis Blake, a career soldier, and Professor Philip Mortimer, a specialist in nuclear physics. The success of this comic strip is due, among other things, to its blend of realism, fantasy and science fiction.
The front is a scene from "The Secret of Swordfish", in which the two heroes arrest Colonel Olrik. In the background, the "Swordfish" planes attack. Below, the vintage "2010" and the "different".
The reverse shows Blake and Mortimer standing in their characteristic pose. In the background, the symbolic "M" of the series, into which "RF" is inserted and on which is inscribed the face value of 10 euros. Around the left-hand edge, the words "Les aventures de Blake et Mortimer".
