Euro Bulgaria 2026 series 1 cent to 2 euro or €3.88

Bulgaria' s euro coins feature three distinctive national motifs, surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union and the official words "България". Each face value highlights a major symbol of Bulgarian history and identity.

- The 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent coins depict the Madara Horseman, a spectacular medieval bas-relief listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This motif illustrates the country's strength, tradition and rich cultural heritage.

- The 1 euro coin features Saint Ivan Rilski, Bulgaria's most revered spiritual figure and national patron. His effigy is a reminder of the importance of monasticism and Bulgaria's religious heritage.

- The 2 euro coin pays tribute to Païssii de Hilandar, author of the "History of the Slav-Bulgarians" and initiator of the Bulgarian National Renaissance. His portrait symbolizes the cultural and identity awakening of the XVIIIᵉ century.

Bulgaria officially adopts the single currency on January 1ᵉʳ, 2026, becoming the 21ᵉ country in the euro zone and marking a decisive step in its European economic integration.
This first series of Bulgarian euros, rich in historical symbols, is already arousing strong interest among collectors and numismatic enthusiasts.
