Cyprus is rich in traditions that reflect its history and culture. Among the traditional activities, the artisanal production of Lefkara lace is particularly famous. This intricate lace is handmade by the women of the village of Lefkara and has an international reputation, having even seduced Leonardo da Vinci. Cypriot music and dance, such as sirtaki and folk dances, also play a central role in festivals and celebrations, often accompanied by traditional instruments such as the lute and tambourine.
