euro regions 2010 series in boxed set

Unique currencies for unique regions.

On or around September 20, 2010, we'll be unveiling the euros of France's regions. 26 .900 silver coins, 29 mm in diameter, weighing 12 grams and with a face value of 10 euros, will be minted in 4 million copies.
While this may seem a large number, it should be borne in mind that 4 regions will each have only 50,000 copies of these 10-euro coins, and that of these 50,000 copies, 30,000 will be distributed in each of these regions.
Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana and Champagne-Ardennes will therefore be the most difficult to procurer.Notamment the islands and French Guiana far from mainland France.
Therefore, of these 50,000 copies, 30,000 will only be distributed in their respective post offices.
French Guiana silver 10 euros in French Guiana post offices, Guadeloupe silver 10 euros in Guadeloupe post offices, etc. etc... As in mainland France, post offices will only distribute euros from the region in which they are located.
So how do you get hold of all 26 coins in this collection?

You can, of course, go on a tour of France, to try and collect all 26 regions, or you can go to the Monnaie de Paris dealers who will have (and only they) the 20,000 remaining coins from each region of France.

To sum up, for 65 million French people, there will be 4 million coins, but only 20,000 of us will be able to collect all 26 regions (without going on a tour of France), in the 2010 vintage.
