Description This year, the Monnaie de Paris is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. On the front, surrounded by twelve stars, a map of the European Union with the city of Strasbourg symbolized by the Mintmark logo. On the reverse, a view of the European Parliament from the opposite bank of the Rhine, surrounded by greenery, symbolizing the Hemicycle and the words "Le Parlement Européen, 50 ans" ("The European Parliament, 50 years"). The Mintmark logo on the face of this coin gives it added value as a collector's item.
