Coincard 5 Euro Belgium 2021 in colorized version on the theme of the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Blake and Mortimer characters
Captain Francis Blake and Professor Philip Mortimer are characters created by Edgar P. Jacobs. They first appeared in the Belgian comic magazine Tintin in 1946. The series follows the adventures of two friends: Professor Philip Mortimer and Captain Francis Blake, an MI5 spy. Although the strip is named after both protagonists, Professor Philip Mortimer is the more important of the two. He's the one who often finds himself in difficult situations, which his friend Captain Francis Blake helps him to resolve. The stories take place from the 1940s to the early 1960s.
