The annual Chinese Calendar series features a new animal each year. For 2024, the dragon, symbol of power, nobility and success in Chinese culture, is at the forefront.
People born under the sign of the Dragon are renowned for their charisma and good fortune. The coin dedicated to this year features a dragon in the center, framed by a circle decorated with traditional Chinese motifs. The creature protrudes from the circle with its head and the beginning of its body, reflecting the power and charisma attributed to this mythical animal in Chinese iconography. On the dragon's body is the ideogram representing it. The year 2024 and the inscription "Year of the Dragon" are engraved at the top of the outer circle.
On the back of the coin, the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac are depicted on a folding screen, surrounding a traditional temple door. This zodiac cycle, which began in 2018, ends in 2029, with each year highlighting a different animal. The coin's face value is shown at top left, while the initials "RF" appear on the door.
