How To Measure Your Bust

With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest.

How To Measure Your Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, generally around the belly button. To ensure a comfortable fit, keep one finger between the measuring tape and your body.

25 Euro Austria Nobium 2026 - Quantum Physics

Quantum physics reveals a universe far more mysterious than it appears. It explores the fascinating realm of matter's most minute constituents - electrons, photons and atoms - which escape the laws of classical physics. At this scale, phenomena are no longer based on certainties, but on a set of possibilities described by probabilities. It is only at the moment of observation or interaction that a system adopts a real, measurable state.

This discipline has profoundly transformed our understanding of space, time and reality. It replaces classical predictability with a framework in which randomness, superposition, entanglement and the uncertainty principle are fundamental pillars.

Although this world may seem abstract, its principles are already structuring our everyday lives. Lasers, microchips, LEDs, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and atomic clocks - essential for GPS - are all based on quantum concepts. Today, a new revolution is underway, paving the way for quantum computers, highly secure communications and next-generation cryptography - areas in which research teams at the University of Vienna are playing an active role.

The obverse of the coin dedicated to quantum physics depicts Schrödinger's cat, a famous thought experiment illustrating superposition. His face dominates a niobium nucleus, while his eyes evoke the coexistence of "living" and "dead" states. Surrounding him are an unstable atom, a Geiger counter scale, the symbol of radioactivity and the silhouette of the observer. An abbreviated version of Schrödinger's equation appears at the top.

The reverse pays tribute to Anton Zeilinger's quantum entanglement experiment. The diagram shows the ALICE (A) and BOB (B) measuring stations, linked by a quantum channel and a classical channel. The niobium nucleus symbolizes the entanglement of two particles with opposite spins.
