This official Greece Brilliant Uncirculated set contains the euro coins dated 2015 in collector quality.
Set contents: the regular euro denominations from 1 cent to 2 euros.
Historical and cultural context:
The eight Greek denominations illustrate several major aspects of Greek history and culture: the 1 cent coin depicts an ancient trireme, the 2 cent coin a corvette and the 5 cent coin a modern tanker, together forming a maritime theme. The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins respectively honour Rigas Feraios, Ioannis Kapodistrias and Eleftherios Venizelos. The €1 coin reproduces the famous owl from an ancient Athenian coin, while the €2 coin depicts Europa being abducted by Zeus in the form of a bull.
Mintage: 15,000 sets.
