Official Set Euro BU France 2025
Composition
This official series comprises eight French circulation coins in Brillant Universel (BU) quality. The 2025 edition is distinguished by the new design of the 10, 20 and 50 centime coins, paying tribute to three great historical figures.
- 10 centimes: Simone Veil, symbol of resilience and a key figure in European politics, is honored through a portrait imbued with gravity and serenity, recalling her fight for women's rights.
- 20 centimes: Joséphine Baker, a committed artist and resistance fighter, sees her image capture her fighting spirit and her struggle for equality and against racial discrimination.
- 50 centimes: Marie Curie, exceptional scientist and two-time Nobel Prize winner, is highlighted for her revolutionary discoveries that left their mark on history.
This collection also celebrates the 250ᵉ anniversary of the Hôtel de la Monnaie, whose box design reflects the building's iconic architectural details.
Finally, the €1 2025 coin, minted exclusively for the BU and BE series, will not be produced in a circulating version this year.
