Description
2010 BU set including a series of 8 coins from 1 cent to 2 Euro Ireland on the theme of horses.
This set is the1st in a series of 3 sets on the theme of Ireland's emblematic animals.
It will be followed by a Salmon set in 2011 and a Dog set in 2012.
The coin presented in this set features the original design of a horse that appeared on a 1928 half-crown coin engraved by sculptor Percy Metcalfe (1895-1970), who produced designs for the mints of several countries, including Ireland and Australia
