This boxed set includes the 1 cent to €2 coins of the year 2025.
Created shortly before his death, the last series of euro coins of Pope Francis' pontificate has exceptional symbolic significance. This collection now acquires an even stronger commemorative dimension: it constitutes a concrete tribute to his memory, destined to stand the test of time.
The Vatican Mint presents the series of euro coins dated 2025. It comprises eight denominations: 2 and 1 euro, as well as 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 centime. The reverse of each coin features the technical characteristics common to all euro zone countries.
The obverse, on the other hand, features the coat of arms of Pope Francis, accompanied by the words "Vatican City" and surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union.
The engravings were created by various artists:
U. Pernazza (1 centime), M. A. Cassol (2 centimes), L. De Simoni (5 centimes), M. G. Urbani (10 centimes), S. Petrassi (20 centimes), E. L. Frapiccini (50 centimes), M. C. Colaneri (1 euro) and C. Momoni (2 euros).
