Alcar-do-Algarve (Tuberaria major) is a small, yellow-flowering perennial. It is a national endemic distributed along the Algarve coast, covering the municipalities of Faro, Olhão and Loulé. Due to increasing urban pressure, this species is currently classified as "critically endangered".
