The official BU 2024 boxed set includes nine coins, including eight euro denominations ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros, all dated 2024. In addition, this series includes a commemorative 2 euro coin on the theme of the 175th anniversary of the Death of Grand Duke Wilhelm II in the HOLOGRAMversion
The eight 1 cent to 2 euro coins feature the standard design of each Luxembourg coin denomination, with the unique national face accompanied by the country's name "LETZEBUERG" (Luxembourg), the year of issue and the twelve stars of the European Union.
The HOLOGRAM 2 euro commemorative coin celebrates the 175th anniversary of the Death of Grand Duke William II.
The central part of this 2 euro coin, issued in 2024, offers a visual tribute to the 175th anniversary of the death of Grand Duke Wilhelm II. This significant illustration juxtaposes two important figures: on the right, Grand Duke Henri is depicted in semi-profile, symbolizing the continuity and heritage of the Luxembourg monarchy. On the left, a captivating image of Grand Duke William II mounted on a horse draws the eye, evoking strength and historical leadership.
