Perugino, also known as Pietro Vannucci, was an Italian Renaissance painter. He was born in 1446 in Città della Pieve, Italy, and died in 1523 in Fontignano, Italy.
Perugino is considered one of the masters of the Umbrian school of painting. He was one of the leading artists in the Umbria region of central Italy, where he exerted a significant influence on the next generation of painters.

Perugino is known as the teacher of Raphael, one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance. His work also influenced other renowned artists such as Pinturicchio and Luca Signorelli.
His most famous works include the fresco "The Baptism of Christ" (Battesimo di Cristo), which adorns the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, as well as other religious paintings and portraits.
